…what to be for Halloween.

  • Princess
  • Ghost.
  • Cow girl.
  • Shoe
  • Animal.
  • Cat
  • Dog.
  • Snake
  • Horse.
  • Etc.
  • Army women
  • Basketball player
  • Football player
  • Crayon
  • Rainbow.
  • Etc..
  • Halloween is a fun time of year to dress up as your favorite costume….my favorite part of Halloween is to see the Halloween decoration that neighbor’s have or when driving around. I also love going trick-or-treating. I think that you are never to old to go trick-or-treating. It is free candy and the enjoyment of running to house to house and getting candy. And seeing other children’s costumes. I have gone trick-or-treating every year and I’m now at the age of 20. Am I going to go this year…Um…MOST DEFINATLY J. I think I might be a ghost and when get to the door step shrink and be a small ghost. We will seee.. My brother David said I will just buy you three bags full of candy. So I might take that offer and go with those three bags. But I love how you never know what your going to get at a house when trick-or-treating it is always a surprise. Sometimes large small candy. I once received a tooth brush because the person that lived in the house was a dentist it was funny. The best though…are the ALMOND JOYS. Pretty much make my whole day. On my second birthday cake my mother put almond joys on my cake so good. With coconut icing. Yeah it was delicious. So good. I seriously gained like 50 pounds..i just kept eating and eating. But it was so so so so good!
I love candy. Love any kind. Love sweets. Sweets love me.

l.o.s.t

I have a problem.
I always lose things then find them later. If it is month year day second hour….etc.
I eventually find them but it is so frustrating when you can’t.
For instance. I lost my driver’s licencse couldn’t find it anywhere and that is a very important thing to have especially when driving because you wouldn’t want to get pulled over and not have your Driver’s Id. It would just cause more trouble. But anyways I couldn’t find it looked everywhere and then told my dad and he said he would take me to get a new one. So we did. That was more trouble should up to the DMV three times.
First time. Closed.
Second time wasn’t even open.
Third time was closed Saturday.
So lame. And it is out in Orem out of the way from where I live. So it was a problem
But luckily I was able to get a new one.
Then just this week. I found my OLD ONE! That I thought I lost.
It was in one of my many bags. In the phone pocket I slipped it in there so I wouldn’t lose it. Yeah forgot about it. So now at this moment I have two driver’s license in my wallet. I hope I won’t lose both of them. Or more important my wallet with my money.
I need to be more responsible. Or remember where I set things.
Another thing I still haven’t been able to find my Snow College key chain with my keys on it and my golds gym pass…still missing….wonder where it is.
Then I couldn’t find my camera…or my charger. Then found them both.
And then my sister asked to borrow my camera couldn’t find it…..ugh! I thought my dad took it but he said he gave it back….you know when you blame someone else or your not meaning to blame them but you swear they have it….and you don’t. Yeah I thought my dad had it but it ended up me having my camera in my bedroom.
But I found it so I’m good.
I know I’m not the only one that losses things but in my family I’m the one that is the most common to lose things. Keys.money.id.camera.phone.coupons.clothes.shoes.bags.scriptures.etc…….
Its crazy. But the thing I love is when you find it when you least expect it. It made my whole day finding it because I knew I didn’t lose it I just put it some where I would remember but then forgot. Silly silly me.

Two. Two. Two.

My older brother made the comment when I was taking him to Mcdonld’s to get him some dinner then drove him to get a movie. I was his driver…yes I feel so honored. Lol well he was saying that did you know mostly everything evolves around the number two. There is always two something where ever you look…..i didn’t really understand what he was saying but then as we were driving. The number two would show up randomly.  I never actually took the time to look at numbers..probably because I have so many other things on my mind then looking for numbers and how they are related. But when you think about it there where two animals of each kind that entered the Ark…..then later that night. Two’s just kept popping in our mind. Two people walking into the store. Two dollars. Two lights. Two cars. Two streets. Two number on gas. Or car’s….etc it was funny.
I love spending quality time with my brother it is the best. I love him so much and appreciate all he does and the love he has for me.

new calling.

Sunday.
What a better day to spend my birthday doing church things.
I do have to admit I’m not a fan of having my birthday on a Sunday because I can’t really go anywhere or even go out to dinner with my family, but it was still good.
I had a meeting with my bishop today. And got a new calling.
I’m the Relief Society transactioner…….in my mind I was thinking what is that? I have never heard of that calling before. I get to work with new young single adults mainly the same age as me so 18-19-20 year olds. To make them feel welcome and make sure that the Relief society president know’s the new members. And get them involved.
My brother got a calling also..he is in charge or more like the assistant to the athlete director. I’m sure he will enjoy that calling because he loves sports. Hopefully it will help him get more involved in the church. Hoping.
I had a fireside that I attend today the author of the biography of President Monson. Wow was this a fantastic fireside to attend. She was telling about his life and how he is just like any normal person. She said that he is the same on camera as he is off camera in his office. I was able to hear stories about his life time from her telling us. My mom then bought the book for me on Monday ;)…I will have to read it because she made it sound so interesting and was a really good speaker in the chapel. I enjoyed it very much.

birthday lunch.

Olive garden
I haven’t been to olive garden in awhile and for my birthday lunch with my mom and me after attending the temple we went to Olive Garden.
If you haven’t tried the soup.salad. and bread sticks it is delicious.
I had chicken soup and then a ceaser salad with the best breadsticks.
I had about 5 breadsticks no joke. They were the best.
After going to the dentist yesterday this was so good to eat it filled me up
Was a good price also.
For my mom and me it was about 12.oo dollars for soup.salad. breadsticks.
So good.
Spending quality time with mom. It was grand.
Thanks mom you’re the best!
Next lunch is on me;)

temple friday. David Archuleta.

Alisha and I went to the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple this morning at 7:00
i totally slept through my alarm. and since my room is in the front where i can see the drive way.
i heard her pull up and then my phone ringing with her calling. oooops. silly alarm.
don't worry though i made it in time and she didn't leave. i hurried and just put on a dress grabbed my bag and out the door....7:14 not that bad at all.....

after she dropped me off. i had nothing really else planned for the day. and my mom was going to the Jordan temple in thirty mintues. so i decided to go with her spend quality time at the temple again with my mom.
we had to drop off my car because it is having car problems. dumb car problems i will say. so annoying.
then we took a shuttle to the temple.
it was a neat expiernce when i walked in the lady at the desk ask if i would do the baptisms for the lady that brought family names and is going to do the confirmations. of course i said yes.
i baptised 16 family names for her and she thanked me and you could see a glow in her eyes as she was watching me get baptised for the those 16 names.
i was waiting in front room of the temple for my mom...didn't know how long she would be.
watching people coming into the temple and out the temple..was so fascinating because it is open to those worthy with a temple recommend. old. young. men. woman. coming to attend the temple. what a blessing.
as i was sitting there a person walked in. looked so familiar. I hate that when you see someone you know but don't know from where.........and then when they leave you just sit there pondering how you know this person.
this person was very attractive but short. dressed in his church clothes. hair was very neatly done. and in his hand where his scriptures...he walked in while i was sitting there wondering who he was...
later i was still waiting for my mom. asked the temple worker when she would be out. he said we could go check the cafeteriea room or maybe she went into the baptism room to wait for you.
so we went and looked. no luck.
i decided to do 15 more confirmations since i had time.
while i was getting my clothes. the lady said to look in the font because it was DAVID ARCHEULETA!!!

okay that is the guy who walked in to the temple that looked familiar.....i looked into the glass font window and he was gettting baptised. what a neat expierence to see him inside the temple and to be worthy to go to the temple. with his singing you can see the passion that he had for this gospel and even when he did american idol he was one of my favorites. I saw him sing and murry and then at the beginning of a soccer game. and i listen to his songs still...what a great person at a young age that shares the gospel and is worthy to go to the temple and use his talent wisely in the singing industry.
not every day when you go to the temple you see a singer....but for me today i was able to see that....wonderful wonderful day. love the temple. love the people who are worthy to go attend the temple.

work mixed in with religion.

Being back at my old Job when I was 16 is fun.
i know how things work. know where basically everthing is. know the menu. seating arrangement. money wise. server's. take outs. etc....today I closed and man was it sloooooowww.
There are the good and bad when working when it is slow. The good is you don't feel rushed and you can just relax and ponder about things but then I have realized time goes by really slow. Either way it keeps you busy and occupied doing the job that needs to get done. no complaints and i'm earning money.
  • I closed with this server named Matt tonight first time working with him closed since I have been back at this job for now two weeks. It was really slow and we talked about an hour while he was doing his closing for serving and i was doing my closing for cashier and doing side work. Talking while getting the job done perfect right? The first thing that started this conversation was like Sarah are you LDS>? I said yes I am LDs. and then he is like did you know there are 3 types of LDS people. and I asked him to explain this.
    1. They think they are better then everyone else
    2. They go to church maybe 2 times a month and call it good
    3. They go to church every week and do church activties.
I said I would fit in the number 3 categories and of course proud of my descion and the religion that I believe. I said Yes I go to church every Sunday, I'm also taking institute class, oh and I'm also in an LDS institute sorority> does that answer his question yes.
I didn't think we would get into a deep conversation in a way I wished it was busy but then it was a good talk and made me appreciate my beliefs and what myself stands up for.
It then got to the point of my opinion on drugs. smoking. and intimate relationship with the opposite sex> I told him I of course don't judge people and that is their choice on what they want to do with their life...because in the end they will have to deal with their consequences of the choices they are making. He then asked what I thought about if a friend of mine drinked. I had two friends in high school that at school in our classes we were tight friends. sat at lunch. etc. I went to her birthday party my Junior year and things started to change. They had alchol at her birthday party. Of course I still say hi and would have conversations with her but didn't like to do after school acitivities with her or hang out because I didn't like the environment I was in. I think this is different for each individual and when you decide now at a young age what is good and what is bad it is easier when it gets to that point. like for me it was easy to say No because I had already set that goal in my life to never. ever drink. smoke or have an intimate relationship before marriage. After having this conversation with this server....it made me appreciate my life so much more. Listening to him talk about his family. his past relationships. smoking. drinking. tickets. etc.....I am so grateful for the choices I have made and for the person I am today. I have been raised in this wonderful gospel but now reaching the age of TWENTY almost SUNDAY is my birthday crazy! It is up to me to make the choices I want and the path way to go. I have been blessed in so many ways and love this right path way to follow. CTR ;) Then when we were closing up to go home...he said I hope this conversation won't make you hate me as a person or judge me in the wrong way. In my mind I'm thinkin well those were the choices you made. your life pretty much sucks without the gospel. and of course I will still talk to you and be your friend if you need someone to listen but just as a co-worker. The funny thing is I haven't really had a talk like this at a work environment so it was pretty shocking, but then again everyone at my Italian Restaurant isn't LDS. they do swear which bothers me but doesn't make me change my ways and i still won't swear. When I told him I don't like it when people swear, my best friend in high school swore but would sometimes apologize for doing it in front of me. The server then said he would try and not swear when i'm around..but then right after the next sentence he swore...it makes me realize that swearing is a bad habit that people have. It just fits into their vocabulary like normals words such as the. like. um...then.when.her.she. i. me...it is sad that people have that habit. He then said have you heard the phrase: you must try things once to actually experience it.. I disagree with that statement and don't think you have to try everything to experience it....you can already see the outcome from other people in this lovely world of today. And why start to drink when you see the outcome of those that drink..and the sad things that have happened to those people and other situations. I think this familiar phrase that I'm sure we have all heard should be more like: try the things in like that YOU PERSONALLY want to experience based on your life.religion.beliefs.family.background.etc..;) Hopefully I can be a good example to my co-workers and those that come into work as customer's.
it was an interesting conversation. I then came home shared my pizza with my dad and talked about tonight and the interesting people I work with. He shared stories when he worked as a garbage truck driver and those people were also interesting. didn't have the same values. beliefs. etc. it was a good chit chat.

the month of October.

It is Crazy that it is the month of October.
doesn't even feel like it.
my birthday is in officially half of what the Month is
the month of October is 10
so my birthday is half of 10
5 days. crazy. very crazy. very very very crazy.
I will be twenty...the 2 and 0
10.10.2010> I will be twenty.

Three temples in a Day ;)

Today is my temple friday! Instead of going to one temple. Alisha and her two cousins and myself we drove to the Logan Temple early this morning. The drive was actually not bad at all. It is so pretty up in the canyon's and makes me want to go look at the leaves. I love the color's changing. Sad thing though. we got to the Logan temple around 9:00 a.m. The baptism font doesn't open until 12:00...sad sad day. Alisha looked at the time on the website and it said 7, but that was for the temple. We decided instead of staying around Logan for three ours tell it opens we went to the other two temples that we were going to go to after the Logan temple. which are the Ogden temple. Bountiful temple. I will have to get the picture of me standing in front of the other two temple's its on my friends camera phone;) Gotta love technology.
We are so blessed to have so many temples in Utah that we can visit. There are 15 temples that we are able to go to. The closest one to my house is about 15 mintues away. We are so blessed. I love the temple and what a better day to spend my friday morning-afternoon driving to two different temples. All four of us have not been to these three temples. It was quiet the adventure but so worth it and so pretty on the inside and out.
  Fourth week:

1) Logan Temple-

2)Ogden Temple

  3)Bountiful Temple
