CheckList: LOGAN UTAH.

Today was excellent. My mom and I drove up to Logan Utah. My mom went to Logan when she was about my age. It was fun to walk around the campus and she was telling me where she stayed on campus and the housing she lived in. Funny thing its still there today. we even went in for a little tour and she said it is still the same. funny how time changes and she goes back and its the same. She never thought she would go back and with her daughter (me) to look for housing. I loved hearing about her college expierence. My mom was in the sorority Alpha Omego. we were able to stay in the soroity house for one night since it was summer no one was there. It was fun to room with my mom. i wish she was my room mate ha ha. We looked at old pictures that they save each year as a girl sorioty the picture's go back way before my mom also. We found a photo of my mom. She looked amazing and it was funny to hear her go back to college days and remembering her friends. It was fun. I really enjoyed it. As for me I'm not sure i will rush for a sorority this time> I just think that it is a lot of money especially as a college student...but I guess we will see maybe I will maybe I won't :)

My three goals that I had planned before hand that I needed to accomplish this lovely wednesday with my day off of work which was very nice ;). just my mom and I. mother daughter day. funny thing we ate subway on the drive up. then subway on the drive home. subway just never gets old ;) ha ha well my 3 goals are:
  1. Look for housing for Fall/Spring semester
Alright this is a stressful thing put onto a college student, especially when they are paying for housing with money saved up from work and such. I admit I was frustrated and overwhelmed. I will be moving out in about a month in a half and need to find a place up in Logan to live for college. Yes I am way excited and I know it will all come together but for now I just need to be patient. Most of the housing I wanted was full. which makes sense everyone jumps ahead. My good friend Trisha from Snow suggested some apartments off campus at Logan. I looked into them. Bridgerland was full and i was put on the waiting list number 20 for girls. yeah i don't think i will have a chance at that one. The other one was Contentinal apartments they had one opening and I'm still trying to decide if i want it. I think i am going to wait for Old Farm housing instead. The lady told me to keep callin each day to see if their is a cancellation she told me they should have some. so cross your fingers. ahh ;)  The three places i'm looking into full. but if i am patient i know things will all come together. oh the joys of housing. I hope I get great roommates also :) i'm excited. let the adventures begin sooooon.
  2. Find a Job/ Fill out Applications
I printed out about 10 resume's and put them in my purse for filling out job applications. I applied to: downeast clothing center, shoe carnival, american eagle, vanity, downeast in the mall, another shoe store, and bed bath and beyond. Most of them said that they aren't hiring now but in the fall they are. I really hope I hear back from a store and next week I will check up on a couple places. I didn't have a job down at snow but I would really and need a job at Logan for some extra cash ;). I am ready for a new job and a new adventure and meeting new people at work.
  3. Met with my USU adviser
this went very well. I loved working with my adviser for my major and trying to decide on certain classes to take and helping me figure things out. it helped a lot.
my day in Logan was stressful. but in the end it was needed
and I'm excited for the Fall and can't wait for housing.job and classes to start up and come together for a plan :)

ALLRED.hugo.damato.PARACHUTE

tonight was MUSIC to my ears:
concert down at the Gallivan center. and you know what the best part was the concert was FREE!
as a college student this is the
best thing possible. free things helps you save money:)
but then again spending on money for concerts are worth it.

my good friend Amy and I went to the concerts. We are both crazy and love being up close to the stage we don't let anyone stop us ;)

the evening started off with ALLRED.
which i love and have loved since when they played down at Snow college during my senior year of High school. love them you should check them out if you don't know who they are.
allred looked mighty fine in his v neck shirt. also very tan. dang good looking for sure. to bad he is short.

second band was DAMATO.
wasn't familiar with this one at all either.
i actually feel in love with their cowboy boots. funny right. everyone in the band was wearing them. can you say attractive. yes indeed. they had a little country mixed in with it.and got the crowd to be involved with their songs. he reminded everyone of Jack Sparrow, he even had a nice accent.

third band was HUGO.
i was not familiar with them at all.
i actually enjoyed them very much. the lead singer was all into and was sweating a lot.and representing his nice v neck under his leather jacket. very talented singer .i am going to check them out on itunes. and you tube.

finally band was PARACHUTE.
they are amazing. loved seeing them in the third row. yeah can you say crazy! third row. and being up front is the best. ahhhhhh enjoyed it very much. final band left with a BANG.
parachute twitter feed: made me laugh
  • Dear Salt Lake City: that show was outRAGEOUS! thanks for partying and not dropping me while I crowdsurfed. You all RULE! - w about an hour ago
it was a great night. and yes he surfed right above me and Amy. glad the crowd could myself and Amy could hold him up. pretty sure that made my whole night!! ha ah

Official PhotosParachute

tip: for next concert:

  1. DO NOT  wear cute flowered sandals> lets just say my toes are killing me from so many people stepping on them. my fault i know. but they kill and are bright red. pooooor toes.
  2. DON"T WEAR jeans that are to big, and constantly wanting to fall down without a belt. ha ha
  3. THIRD. bring a small water bottle. i was parched. yelling and screaming and being in a mosh pit. water is needed in deed. at the end we grabbed water bottles at Amy's house and drank the whole thing super fast. we were dying.
  4. DON"T WEAR dangling earrings. they were cute. but hard to jump up and down. ha ha.
you live and learn right. for me lesson learned.
    • the best part really though is getting into the songs. Jumping up and down. waving your hands. touching the artist's hands and arms. ha ha and even when the lead singer of PARACHUTE. jumps and crowd surfs. you must indeed get involved. Stand your ground don't let other people push you out of your spot especially when they are coming from behind. it gets really annoying. mosh pits are fun but after awhile it gets annoying with
      people's arms in your
      back and elbows
in your face. but for concerts it is well worth it. now i just have a HUGE headache. my back hurts and shoulders hurt and most of all my ten toes. ha ha well
      LOVEs concert's
      &

Spending time with my amazing friend AMY.
      before the concert
after the concert. all sweaty and gross. ha ah.

    Father's Day.

    Happy Father's Day Dad!
     I love you so much.
Thanks for always being there for me when I need you. I can always count on you for whatever reason. You are the best dad that anyone could ever ask for. I am so lucky to have you as my daddy;). I love all the fun memories that we have shared from since I was little to the memories we are creating now. The traits and qualities you have are what I want someday in a husband. What an example you are to your family and those who come in contact with you. You truly go out of your way to make sure everyone is happy. I love your strong testimony in the gospel and how I can receive father's blessings from you. I hope you have a great Father's Day.
words can't even describe how amazing you are as a Dad. I could go on forever...
    love you!!

Thanks for being the best dad ever!
love love this song. just for you dad;)

    Manti Pageant

I love going to the Manti Pageant. I went for Youth Conference when I was in the Young Women program. I went on a Date during the summer when I was living there for the summer. Then my mom and brother David and his gf came down. I have been three times this was going to be my fourth. so it was time this year to go again. I absoutly love going and seeing the Manti Temple is the best part. It is an amazing pageant that they do everywhere. If you haven't had a chance to go to it. I recommend putting it in your schedule it is fantastic.
...the adventure begins. with the most important thing. my mom's home made brownies. DELICIOUS.

Amy my old room mate picked me up and we drove down to Provo to meet our good friend Caitlan from San Diego, her room mate was coming with us also and her named was Cailtan to. It was great we all four got along so well. we are all amazing. those girls are great. Amy and I were taking some crazy picture's in the back seat ;) gotta love camera time. which is always time for me. ha ha

    best friends forever and ever.
I loved spending this friday night with them. it was a great road adventure to the pageant.

we stopped on the way to get the best burgers in town that Caitlan mentioned. i was so excited to try them. but guess what it was closed. as you can see we took a picture with sad faces. but then of course we were happy to sometime come another time.

so got back in the car and went to Roy's Pizza. I love their pizza's. They are number two on my list, since i work at a pizza place they make it exaclty the way I want;).

It was a great idea we ate our pizza's in the court yard of Snow College. It brought back good memories. grand memories. Really though some of my heart is here.
I loved the first year of college experience and met great amazing friends and had great amazing room mates:).this is were we lived. it was the best.

Good Old Mountain View. we had to go back and look at our old apartment. it is still up and still looks the same. good memories. ha ha thumbs up

After we devored our pizzas. we drove to sugar plum cottage.
for the best snow creme's in town. they were delicious. so many flavors. it was calling for another picture.

look a the picture last time Cailtan and I went on the right. then the picture now on the left it is funny how time just keeps moving on but yet we still have such a great friendship I love it. after the delicious snow cremes. they really are so good!! it is worth the drive. and the memories ;)
    now

oh just Amy and I using our jacket hoods. we are gangsters.
well then after..we drove to manti.grabbed our blankets and found a perfect spot to watch the pageant. it is really a great experience every time I go;) I hope Amy, Cailtan and her roommate Cailtan enjoyed it. We then drove back up to Salt Lake City. it really was a great night. catch up on each other's lives. i love hearing stories about dating. its always great when you have a group of girls talking about boys. boys. and boys. it seems to always be one of the main subjects. I love it. it was great not to work and catch up with them.
     Friday night very successful ;)

    simple and true.

I loved this Mormon Message Video. It makes me think of Who Am I?....that I am a Child of God and so are You. reminds me to walk by example. we are all his children. each different and unique but all play a huge part in this plan. I love the true and simple message this video encounters.
through this simple primary song. we can remember the simple and true words spoken.

    NBA finals.

I was cheering and watching and hoping the Heats would win the NBA finals 2011. nope Dallas took over the series. 3-2. last game was today. 4-2. Heats lose Mavariks win. My favorite players on the heats were James, Wade, Bosh. they are truly talented players.
gotta love the intense basketball watching. it is my favorite. i love love love it. watching the players and teams work together to win a game. the points. the three point shots. foul shots. blocks. charges.fouls.refs.audience. i'm telling you basketball is the best sport to watch and play. i love the basketball feeling. and knowing what is going on. I still love the HEATS. and hope they win 2012 ;)

    heart of Holladay 5k run.

I have been loving doing 5k races. After doing the race for the cure, and the Ephraim 10k I just want to keep going and keep doing these fun races. Even though you have to pay it is worth it. You get your free shirt and free stuff to go along with it. I love it, it brings people together even the community. I haven't done or has my mom done Heart Of Holladay race
I have lived here for 17 years. It is about time I finally participate in this race. The route even ended up at the school across the street from me Oly jr. high bus lane we ran through and the parking lot. It was great to know the area and run through my town of Holladay. I enjoyed it very much. I appreciate my dad for taking photo's of my mom and I almost to the end of our 5k race.
    Running in A.C.T.I.O.N

I'm glad my mom was able to do this race also! She is amazing and keeps going. I love how i got her involved in the race for the cure race, and she told me about this holladay race and signed us up and we planned on doing it. She got me involved in this race. We work well as a team, racing and getting those awesome running shirts ;) that is my favorite part. Well it is accomplished we both finished.
Left Photo: getting ready to start our race.......Right Photo: finished 5k race and got free shirt
My time was 26:33 > 8:33 pace per mile. I placed 73 out of everyone in the competition and then with my division age group of 19-24 year olds I placed first. I got this race medal to put on my keys.
My mom's time was 27:49 > 8:58 pace per mile. She placed third in her division range, and also got a key change for her keys.

Lets say it was accomplishment for the both of us. I love the after fact of the race, how you feel and when you see the finish line. it is a great feeling to know when your almost done. and ready for the race to be over. It went by fast. and After the race. They had little children do a sprint race it was adorable to see these young children run. They had a flight helicopter come and land. I had to take a picture by it thanks mom for taking the photo ha ha.
They had prize drawings. My mom got a blue Nike duffel bag. My name was second to last on calling. I was surprised I even got called. I got a free membership to the Lion's Reactional center for 1 whole month. Which is way nice because I decided not to pay for my membership at gold's because I'm moving out in the fall. So i guess in July I will use this pass or might even give it to my little brother or sister. we will see. maybe i will auction it off to them shhh ;)
It was an excellent morning even on my Mom's Birthday June 11th!
Love you Mom way to Go!!
two 5k races with mom accomplished...I can't wait for the one in July ;)
